Below are the terms used in the automotive industry, you may find these abbreavition or terms in our posts.
Acceleration
The rate at which an object’s velocity changes with time
Active Brake Assist
An emergency-braking assistance system that brakes automatically if there is a risk of a rear-end collision with a slower vehicle ahead and the driver does not react
All-wheeldrive, AWD
A vehicle where all four wheels are driven
Clutch
A clutch is a mechanism for transmitting rotation, which can be engaged and disengage

Carbon Dioxide
Convertible
A car that has top that can be folded or removed
Coupé
A two-door car with close-coupled passenger compartment
Cylinder
A cylinder is the central working part of a reciprocating engine, the space in which a piston travels
Engine
An engine is a mechanical device that produces some form of output from a given input
Four-wheel drive, 4WD, 4×4
A four-wheeled vehicle with a drivetrain that allows all four wheels to receive torque from the engine simultaneously
Gearbox
That part of an car’s transmission containing the train of gears, and to which the gear lever is connected
Horsepower
A unit of work equal to 33,000 foot pounds per minute, 550 foot pounds per second, or 746 Watts
Hybrid Car
A vehicle that uses two or more distinct power sources to propel the vehicle
Intercooler, Charge Air Cooler
An air-to-air or air-to-liquid heat exchange device used on turbocharged and supercharged internal combustion engines to improve their volumetric efficiency by increasing intake air charge density through isochoric cooling
Natural Gas Vehicle, NGV
An alternative fuel vehicle that uses compressed natural gas or iquefied natural gas as a clean alternative to other automobile fuels

Vehicles that are built to be streetable, but with the look and much of the performance of all out drag cars in their displacement class
Sedan
A car that is closed and that has front and rear seats and two or four doors
Suspension
A system of springs, shock absorbers and linkages that connects a vehicle to its wheels
Torque
The tendency of a force to cause an object to rotate
Transmission
A speed-torque conversion commonly known as “gear reduction” or “speed reduction”, from a higher speed motor to a slower but more forceful output
Turbocharged
A forced-induction compressor powered by the engine’s exhaust gas to increase the mass of air entering the engine to create more power
