Few vehicles have picked up so many accolades ahead of their on sale date as Nissan’s GT-R and sports car enthusiasts are about to discover what makes this mighty performance flagship a multiple award winner.
Since the order books opened on 2nd April 2008, Nissan has taken 1,250 deposits from buyers and for those who joined the GT-R queue at the beginning, the wait is almost over.
The legendary Nissan GT-R was voted Performance Car of the Year at the prestigious What Car? Awards 2009 held in London last night, beating the Audi R8 and Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
It’s a ringing endorsement of a supercar that delivers blistering, but accessible performance that is underpinned by confidence-inspiring handling enabling it to be driven fast and skilfully by just about anybody.
The Volvo XC60 crossover has been awarded the What Car? SUV of the Year at the magazine’s prestigious 2009 Awards. The Volvo XC60 is following in the successful footsteps of the larger seven-seat XC90, which was awarded the same title at the magazine’s awards in 2003 and 2004.

The 2008 What Car? ‘Car of the Year’ winner, the Jaguar XF, retained its award-winning crown at the What Car? Awards held in London last night, winning ‘Best Executive Car’ for 2009.

The successful Porsche 911 GT3 RSR takes off into the new model year with extensive modifications.
